To be honest, today's prompt is just not very inspirational to me. It is Martin Luther King day, and I really wish it was a little more powerful, but I'm sticking to it, so here it is. It's not iced! (Actually, the first one was. LOL.) I usually go every Monday morning and have coffee with my mother. So maybe there is meaning in this one, that I just hadn't realized yet. #thebethadillychallenge
We were really feeling today's prompt. Everyone was tired, and I think it was partially because of football. My son was wearing his Snuggie that he got for Christmas last year. I know I got feet pictures the other day, but I changed my lens, and wanted to get a different perspective. I think I like this one better. Before long, they are not going to be this cute! I was going to leave out this photo of my husband, but I think if I do, it just doesn't tell the story of our day. Seriously, football. It causes this to happen every time. #thebethadillychallenge
It's another Saturday with the band, so for today's challenge, I'm photographing guitar strings (and my husband). #thebethadillychallenge
My son got new shoes for Christmas, and he loves them. He's coming into an age where he's really starting to concern about his appearance, so he wanted to pick them out himself. We are fine with that, but I'm sad that the days of Santa and surprises are coming to an end. He recycled the shoebox for his Book in a Box project, which he did on a book called "The Darkest Path." He is a fantastic artist, and I think he really enjoyed making this. #thebethadillychallenge
Today's challenge prompt was "to do." Well, this is what my day consisted of. I'm sure many of you can relate. My son says he likes this image because his favorite shirt is in there. :) #thebethadillychallenge
"We who advocate kindness must teach by example. Practicing kindness toward nature begins with a sincere commitment to connect with nature. Once committed, we must face our fears and go outside, taking our kids with us. Once we’re there, we can begin to treat nature as we would a new friend: Shake hands and introduce ourselves. Sit down for a visit. Spend time together. Enjoy each other’s company. All this while remembering that kindness toward nature is kindness to self." #thebethadillychallenge
Three? Well, I have two sons and a husband, so I technically have three boys. The third one (the one that's almost 13, hey there's a three), refused to have anything to do with pictures today. I totally understand. So, here we have another daddy moment. I really never get tired of these. My only regret is that there aren't more photos of me with my boys, because everyone has a difficult time operating my camera. Oh, well. We're hoping to do a family photo in the spring. #thebethadillychallenge
When I scanned through the prompts of the Bethadilly Challenge, I was immediately looking forward to January 12th, "The Letter J." My son's name is Joshua, so I had intended for today to be would be the perfect day to capture some candid moments of him. Today turned out to be no ordinary day. Another little person who has a J in his name entered the world. My beautiful nephew, Rylan James was born this afternoon, weighing in at 9 lbs 3 oz. We are so happy that he's here, and mom and baby are doing well. Later in the day, we had lots of homework, so I incorporated this into the challenge. #thebethadillychallenge
Today's challenge was so easy! My favorite thing is my family, of course, and having a great time with them. We went sledding today, and had a blast. #thebethadillychallenge
There wasn't a lot of time for photographs today, but I'm keeping up with the challenge. We are doing our best to stay warm, and my husband is in a band, so it was extremely noisy around here. We decided today was the day to take down the Christmas tree. #thebethadillychallenge
