Wow. When I first saw the list of prompts for the month, I wondered why one day's challenge would be "three," and then another would be just "number." I never realized how much today's challenge would speak to me. Today marks the one year anniversary of the passing of my grandmother. She left this world on a Tuesday; January 28, 2014. Words can't express how much I miss her, but I'd like to try, so here is a poem to honor her memory.
Grandma,
I thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake,
With which I’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
I have you in my heart.
